Drugs in golf

Once the only tee time slot in the Wednesday comps was a slot with some Chinese chaps. Only one could speak English and they all smoked weed.
Played with them a few times as they was alright but a lad I played with didn’t take kindly to him smoking it on the veranda and it was hand bags at dawn. I think they’ve left now or been booted out.

Yup that's the stuff, my local pro shop has a big display of it, along with a fridge full of golfer protein drinks!!:ROFLMAO::LOL::ROFLMAO:

I have tried CBD to help sleep and de-stress but didn’t do anything. I used to have protein shakes but swapped for meal replacement shake high in protein every round including carbs and vitamins. I also have if I’m tired a pack dextrose.

What is the relevance to high protein on the course?

I’ve tried cbd oil, vaping and the gummy bears for sleep, pain and depression.
I still can’t sleep, I’m in pain and still suffering from depression

I was going to start a post on its own about CBD and golf, what are peoples thoughts?? And while we are talking snake oil, what about Golfers Protein drinks?!

There are pharmacological-grade cannabinoid products approved and in development in clinical trials, for conditions such as childhood epilepsy, as a supplement to cancer pain treatments either to enhance the effect or reduce nausea or for symptoms associated with autism and the like. These may contain either CBD or THC depending on the intended effect. They are manufactured using pharma grade production facilities and inspected by FDA, MHRA and the other regulators.

In my opinion, these medicines are moderately effective and reasonably safe.

I wouldn't touch the over the counter or online preparations. I don't think you can be sure what is in them and whether they are safe, never mind effective.

For a 4hr walk??

Depending on the time I tee off, I’ve walked the dogs once or twice. I don’t have the time to actually eat. So I need the calories and it’s better than a lucozade and Mars bar!
A round of golf burns quite a bit of energy and tiredness doesn’t produce the best chances of good scores.

I’ve played golf under the influence of several drugs. Coke makes me overconfident and I invariably lose a ball or two along with pulling off something sensational. Ketamine based pills make me putt tentatively but I don’t really mind by that stage.

I know of a couple of senior golfers that have little smoke in the car park before playing, but that is more to help them with arthritis their hands. It is not so they are high when playing, but so they are not in too much pain.

I’m sure there was mention in the build up to the US open that Phil Mickleson chews CBD gum while on the course, as well as not eating until he’s had his ‘special’ coffee.
