driver work

went out on the range because it was a nice sunny day! took out the driver as this is without a doubt the weakest area in my game. the driver i have is the taylor made r5, 8.5 deg.
i just cant seem to get any air time on my balls! its very annoying!! i should probably have a loft of 10.5 or 12 deg, but i have to work with what i have!!

you probably have 10.5 now, don't most drivers have 2 deg more loft than stated? I know my 11.5 r7 does, it was measured at 13.5.

not sure why they do this - unless it's just to massage the vanity

8.5 is quite low but there are any number of other reasons why you may not be getting the ball airborne. Have you had any lessons with the big dog? If it's your weak area it would be worth it.

Why did you get something so low in the first place. Personally I'd be looking to change it for anything that gives you more loft and greater control

it was given to me and as i dont have the money to buy a new one, i will have to make do!!

could always try swapping it in the for sale section here, see if someone has one with more loft that they dont want?

Or have a look on eBay. I have just literally sold my 10.5* R5 on eBay for £32, so they don't go for much on there
