Hi guys.... Looking for Some advise on driver shafts... I'm currently playing with a 910d2 9.5 with S flex RIP shaft
I hit my driver really well it's the best and most reliable
Club in my bag but I hit the ball really high... It's fine on calm days because I carry the ball about 270 yards or so
But when it's windy I lose so much distance and control into wind...
Can anyone recommend a shaft which will help lower my ball flight ??
Much appreciated... T

Diamana Kaili - Mid flight
Diamana Ahina - Low flight

Both a little heavier than your RIP and more feeling for my money. You should be able to get one with your adapter on it from ebay.

The link gives you a matrix of all the shafts options available for the 910 Drivers. If you look in the bottom left of the matrix then you are looking at the lower spin, lower launch options.

Of the stock shafts for the 910, then the Ahina and the RIP are the 2 lower launching shafts. There are better (but more expensive options) in the custom options. Personally use a Motore F1 75g which I find excellent, first non X flex shaft Ive had in 20 years in my driver and stable enough plus low spin low launch (the heavier weight helps).

May be worth trying something like that or even looking to go from an S to X flex if you are carrying it 270

As with you Steve, I just have nothing good to say about the made for RIP, I actually found it launch higher than the Kaili as it is so light and has zero feel....

Thanks for your help guys... It just so happens that I have found
On eBay, and won, a graffalloy pro launch red X flex shaft for my
D2 so I will give that a go and see if that helps!!! According to the
Custom options on that titleist link it's a low flight shaft!! Will report
Back with a review in a couple of weeks... Thanks for such a swift response

T. X. ;)

The pro launch red is a decent enough shaft and certainly will hit it much lower than the RIP did (having gone up a flex too), used to have one in a previous Callaway driver a good few years ago, good luck with it

This will be the first x flex shaft I've had in a driver so I will see
How it goes. I guess the other option would be an 8.5 degree head
But people say these days your better off with more loft and a stiffer
Shaft... Was hitting balls at a Nike demo day the other day and my club
Speed is between 105 and 112 with a driver so X shouldn't be too far out!!

Thanks again
