OK Guys, I need your help, if possible.

I am striking the ball really nice with all my Clubs bar the Driver.

6 weeks ago I decided to Tee up aiming right 20-30yds, this was good as my shots were going straight left, this corrected the fault and worked well for me.

But, now the problem is I am correcting the fault, by accident, some shots I aim right, they go straight, which is not good, so I aim down the centre, only to hit it Left.

This is screwing my head up on the Tee :D

This maybe difficult, as you have not seen my swing, though as said, Irons, Wedges and Rescue's are working fine, just the Driver..........HELP Please!!!

You have an offset driver. Are you prone to casting from the top ?

If so, you can try the tip Smiffy recommended for me.

Have a break for a couple of weeks.

Then give up completely.

:p ( Nah, it didn't work for me either )

The only thing I've tried, and I'm not sure now legitimate a swing thought it is, is to concentrate on a long slow takeaway to the top of the backswing.

Then take a micropause before starting the downswing, making sure the right elbow stays near your body, and feeling you're making an in to out swing at impact.

I think it's one of those thoughts that you feel as if you're making a swing fault too much the other way, but in reality, because you have a fault in the frrst place, the reality is less drastic than the feeling.

I'm no pro, but a fellow sufferer, so if you're not sure it'll help, please speak to your pro before trying. I'd hate to give you a brand new swing fault for nothing ;)

correcting a swing fault is all well and good, so long you are consistent. It sounds like inconsistencies have crept in to your driver swing which means your mitigation measures (aiming right) will only work some of the time.

If, as you say, you hit your other clubs fine, there is no logical reason why you have to compensate with your driver. I would recommend that you get a pro to check your grip, stance and ball position with your driver.

Incidentally, I played 9 holes last night and my playing partner said I was aiming well right with my driver. I though I was aiming down the middle! It just shows that what you think you are doing and what you are actually doing can be different, and this can affect your swing.

absolutely... :)

Friendly rounds are good for asking your partner "how's my alignment".

Evening guys :)

Cheers for the comments and advise....looks like I need to get on the range and see if I can sort it out.

As for takeaway, I have one of the most boring takeaway's in the country, very slow.

My Driver is TM R5 10.5 offset, wondering if a N setting is for me now. Well I have a 2 day comp this weekend, so will get out tomorrow on Range, see what happens, I will report back :p

Just a update on my MARES!!!

Whether this was because I was shattered or not, but my Friday afternoon round found me leaving the Driver in the bag as I have now found my slice.......

I know it gets worse :(

Least I can say I know for deff where its going now, I feel if I am to get my Hcp down I need to sort this problem out, as the Rough at Tylney is the worst place to be in Summer.... :(

Sorry if getting bored of this, but its killing my game.

I have been out with the swing trainer and noticed my position at the top of my backswing is......not sure on the right wording, but shallow, closer to the ground than it should be, the swing trainer gave me the feedback more or less after the 2-3rd swing.

Would this cause a slice???

Definately possible.

If you are too flat going back, and you are wrapping the club around your body too much, then it can lead to casting the club on the way down, so you are cutting accross the ball.

Nothing is boring about it mate.. the more you post the better it is, so don't stop.

Trying to establish what is going on without seeing it is always tricky. You have said that if you aim down the center they go left...if you aim right they go right and somehow you also hit slices! So it's not easy to know WHICH of those to correct as they can all be caused by different things.

So lets try and figure out what is going wrong.

1) What is your normal shape of shot with a 6-iron?
2) What shape of shot do you WANT?

Regards...
