Driver head cleaning

Just wondering if anyone has any experience cleaning/polishing the horrible sky marks or even ball marks off the face of their drivers? I have a ping G430 so has a matte finish on the crown.
What’s best to use etc?

Sky marks if through the paint you are stuck.

Try white spirit on the face and sole.

I usually manage to do this with the soft leather of my gloves.

But I’d make it easy on myself and ask Ping for two reasons: First, the G 430 is made of a mix of materials, including carbon, and *I* wouldn’t dare just go at it with any old cleaning products and risk damaging it (especially considering how much it costs!).

Second, Ping should know this and be able to answer “off the top of their head,” and Ping’s customer service is actually quite good and prompt.

Depends on how deep the sky mark has gone, if it's not all the way through the paint then sometimes a little T-Cut can sort it out. If it's through the paint and it's a shiny black crown then T-Cut and black sharpie are your best bet without trying to paint it.

I've found WD-40 is good for cleaning the face, I've used it a few times on my 3 wood and hybrids as the Callaway ones seem to have a habit of getting rust specs on them, even if you dry them after a round.

I use a g430 driver and always find that marks on the face come off with a wet towel.
