I recently disclocated my right index finger. Due to this I have to give golf a rest for a while. But want to spend some time improving my game and could do with some drills to improve my weight transfer (without needing to hold a club). Also has anyone had this kind of injury before and how long did it take before playing golf again, (i was told possibly 6 weeks) ligaments only stretched rather than tore. Is this a releastic aim, I dont want to play too early before the ligaments are healed fully.

Most of the weight transfer drills I know are active so you could swing 1 handed or mirror work i guess.

If you are right handed you could try some lead arm only chipping / putting drills and they may well be of benefit to your game.

Pete Cowan's spiral staircase drill can be done holding a club across your chest with just one hand.

Should be able to find the clip on you tube of him doing this and is perfect for weight transfer.
