I have managed a few double hits when chipping out of rough in my time, but I had never seen anybody double hit a putt. That was until this morning, when one of my playing partners managed to do it. It was an 18" putt for a point in a seniors comp. The player concerned can be a bit yippy on short putts.

I have seen it happen, usually on shortish pressure putts and they have not hit it hard enough and re hit on the follow through.

If I hadn't seen it happen with my own eyes, I wouldn't have thought it was possible! :mmm:

That's nothing special, what would really impress me is if the 1st hit was with the claw grip and 2nd hit with a cross handed grip :D

Honestly, this is the picture of what Delc's golf club must be like in my head.

Apparently even Lydia Ko managed to double hit a putt during the 4th round of the recent LPGA Kia Classic, which she won. Slightly different circumstance though. She was putting from the fringe grass at the 10th hole, the ball sort of bobbled up into the air without moving forward very much, and she hit it again during her follow through!
