We'd like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy Holidays and a very Merry Christmas from all at Golf Monthly. Thank you for sharing your 2025 with us!
I've only played Sidmouth which is east of where I'm based. It's a quirky little course played up and down a valley, not to bad with a friendly clubhouse.
Lyme is supposed to be a nice track, but I've not played it. Honiton is another close by, but no good reports on that one.
I'm sure some of the Dorset boys can give you a heads up on Bridport.
I would go for Lyme Regis itself. Nice course with lovely sea views. The town itself is beautiful.
I agree with Twire about Sidmouth. A funny little course.
Things may have changed but Bridport used to be very short.
Not sure about the costs, but I would favour Bridport over Lyme Regis personally. The views are better, the greens are better (IMO) and the course just flows better. Played Bridport 3 weeks ago, Lyme in November. Depending on your travel arrangements I would also recommend Came Down between Dorchester and Weymouth, my absolute favourite Dorset course.
