The latest USPGA Tour event in Mississippi hasn't got going yet and won't until Sunday at the earliest. They've had 25 inches of rain in the last month and the whole place is a lake.
Mind you, at the rate its lashing down here at the moment we might be like that too.

What's the weather in your neck of the woods - looks like its getting wet'n'windy.

It's fine at the moment (working today) but I'm supposed to be playing at Bearwood Lakes tomorrow and the forecast is not looking too promising. High winds and rain predicted.
Bloody typical. It's been gorgeous down here all week, not a drop of rain nor hint of a breeze. I wanted to take another fiver off of Murph....

Blue skys at the moment, no wind and really looking forward to playing in a mixed comp with the club champ, hon secretary, ex club captain and myself, I think its a better ball but not 100%

Bearwood Lakes near Wokingham? Thats just around the corner from me. Are you playing as a guest what are the fees like?

Playing with a member. £45.00 green fee. Worth every penny. But not if it's chucking it down with rain and blowing a bloody gale.
:( :( :(

Lovely here but was too bushed after work yesterday to get out today with the ladies roll up.
Off ON GOLF bREAK tomorrow and Monday at Donnington Valley (Berks) - looks to be epicentre of the bad weather!
Think we'll be heading for the spa.

Hope those playing today have a good one.

Played 18 on a glorious calm and sunny Autumn morning today. Looks like hibernation is the best option from this evening onwards though....

Played up at Forfar today cracking weather was walking about in shirt sleeves ,its nearly November we didn't get this in th summer godd deal as well £20 coffe and bacon roll before we played and soup and sandwiches when we came of, only downside there was 3 winter greens with the bigs holes in them.

England v Scotland match today, shirt sleeves, great company, still the full course and the greens were still magnificent....down to play at 7.37 tomorrow but I think it could be the full fry up with the Sunday papers if the forecast is correct!

Oh, and we sent them hameward tae think again...again ;)

Smiffy

Just checked the latest forecast for tomorrow.

Can you fit an outboard engine to a GoKart and do they float? Mind you, you could rig up a sail to it and use the wind to get it around the course.

Better take some windscreen wipers for your glasses mate, sou'wester, wellies, water wings, .....

I'm gutted that I'm out of action at the moment and can't join you. Really I am.

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Leftie, who the heck would have invited you anyway?

Smiffy, you only have that fiver on loan. If I lose again I will have to kill you.

Not just that, but every time I have played with you, it has rained. Are you the rain god?

Another time highlander. (As they say in the movies).

Sawtooth, where about are you exactly. I'm in Bracknell and your welcome for a game at my gaff anytime or we can go to Blue Mountain, Downshire or Birds Hill.

I'm having a lie in and waiting for the promised brighter weather tomorrow afternoon. The gales will still be around so think its a putting and chipping day. Any range work will be a waste of time as it'll be impossible to tell if the change of direction was technique or wind influenced.

Played this afternoon - cracking the flags in Manchester, polo shirt weather. September and October have been better than July and August......again.

Me too (except NOT Manchester, obviously).....

Tomorrow....however....

Waterproof trousers.....check
Waterproof top.....check
Bag Condom.....check
4 gloves......check
Wind-proof "Zippo" lighter......check
Game to play...... :( :(

Golf cancelled. Good call at the end of the day. Winds are getting up down here on the coast and the sky is as black as your hat. So that will be three weeks without a game.

Plan B.

IKEA with the Missus. She wants a new rug.... :( :( :(

But it won't stop at that. I know what she's like.
Still, at least I'll get a full English for a quid
