I only play 9 holes par 3 with my girlfriend and she's quite good at it so I'm trying to encourage her to come down to the club and play a proper course.

Do you play with your partner? Or prefer to have a break from them at least on the golf course??

I assume there are no ladies on this forum...

My wife and play at least 36 holes a week together and enjoy doing so.

We had never really managed to find an outdoor activity that we both enjoyed (apart from watching football). We had both played golf years ago before we knew each other and after a free round at a hotel at the start of the year we decided to take it up again - both loving it.

But if she treads on the line of my putt once more.........

Not a chance, My boss sees sport as a waste of time, money and effort

I was playing once a week for a year while she was out at work without telling her.

Only got my pink ticket after a threat of strike action (family Taxi Duties)

My next wife will have to want to play regularly, Her name is Natalie Gulbis, so no worries there

Fragger :( :D :D

Tried to get the wife to play when i started. she got herself about 5 outfits and 3 pairs of golf shoes to go with and has never touched a club since! :D

Must admit, my missus is quite expensive on the clothing side of things :(

My girlfriend has recently insisted on coming to play golf with me and guys I play with. We take her to the range and play some par 3 courses but she isn't quite calm enough for golf... God knows i'm not going to be the one to tell her ^^

I must admit that before going to American Golf with my girlfriend I didn't know that glove and shoes are supposed to match...

Not quite the same as you guys,
But my ex gf played and i decided never to play with her again after just one round.... :p
She is one year younger than me and plays off 1. I couldnt stand the embarrasment of her going round level par and me hacking my way to a cool 20 over! ;)

My wife has been taliking about it fow a while because my playing partner's missus is a mate of hers and plays the odd round. We head off for weekends away when the men golf and the women... well not really sure what they do but it usually costs a fair amount so golf would be cheaper :D

She has recently given a full set of nearly unused Ladies Ping G10's and bag and all the gear but has still not ventured out even though I keep suggesting we head down the range.

She mentioned that she needs to find a young handsome golf instructor to 'get her going' - looks like I have been out on the course too much - lol.

My wife was fairly miffed to find the pro that gave her a couple of lessons was in no way Johan Edfors-esque as she was expecting/ hoping but looked about 80 and as though he was recorded on a certain register - oh how I laughed :)

My wife regularly comes to the range with me and the boy. She hits a bucket of balls pretty well, but as a nurse she gets a lot of weekend work so only plays the odd 9 holes here and there. She watches as much of it on TV as I do and enjoys it. She doesn't mind me and the boy playing at weekends either so it's all good...

I've asked HID if she'd like to try it but she flat out refuses. I managed to get her to come and walk the course with me a while ago which she enjoyed but when it comes to her playing there's more chance of me winning the lottery!

She has a horse which takes up most of her spare time so there's no way she'd be able to do both. Works for me though as when she goes out riding I go to the course! :)

regularly play golf with my wife and we compete in some local mixed competitions in the area, which is good fun.

Its great to get out and forget about all the family stuff and relax in an environment that we both feel at home in.
