Does Nick Faldo still play golf???

No after he got showed up @ Muirfield a few years ago in his first seniors event he discovered that he was all washed up, thing is he is just as much of a (.) (tit) at commentary as was as a Ryder Cup Captain.

I like him commentating as at least he isn't shy in offering a decent opinion compared to paying all the other ex-pros to give crappy comment that any of us could make because they want to keep in with the pros.

Plus the guy deserves damn more respect than the comment above.

What part ?

About him as a commentator or his role as Ryder Cup Captain, if it's the latter then I am sorry he was and always will be know as Thee Worst Ever Ryder Cup Captain.

I think the latter is generally accepted. His commentating is up to your point of view. But he is our most successful Major winner of many moons and does a lot more for golf and is much more human and honest in interviews than many trumped up golfers. Tiger Woods / Rooney / Terry are 'tits', I don't think Faldo is. It's always easy to flag up the failings of our greatest golfing success in many moons. Perhaps if he was a beer drinking under-achieving lad we'd all love him. Personally, I prefer winners and give them the respect they deserve despite their minor flaws.

He's quality covering the PGA Tour. Same with Monty. Two people who aren't afraid to have a laugh. If you're watching hours upon hours of golf you don't need technical reviews after every single shot.

Don't have the technical knowledge but I can't help feeling he's just making it up as he goes along when he tries to give an opinion on a swing etc.

I like him, always have, he's not perfect and won't please everyone but he's worked hard to get where he is, he does a lot of charity stuff that doesn't get shouted about either.
I'm surprised so many here are so aggressively outspoken against him.

Can I ask if you have met him and spent time with him. I have been very lucky to have spent a few hours with him on a couple of occasions and he was so nice and so helpful. He helped me alot when I first turned pro too.

Think that sums it up to a tee.

He was and still is the best golfer Britain has had in the modern era. Plus anyone who can do a compleat swing rebuild, when at the top to get better. Has my respect. He has most likely forgotten more than most will ever learn on here.

Him and Miller are a right pair together. I dont mind opinionated people but smug, egotistical and opinionated is a bad combination. They will always be in the golf was better and harder in my day camp, when they should really be commentating about whats infront of them.

I like him, was watching the PGA tour highlights this morning and he is better than the Yanks by a long shot. Enjoyed watching him v Norman when I was a lad so nothing but praises for him my end
