Do you know your swing speed ?

90MPH with the big dog with a few above but I lost all tempo and distance going for it. Much better results with a solid well timed swing.

Gets it out there with most fairways split in half.

To most people.......;)

Most people are using the wrong shafts.

Yes they all tie in, but more emphasis should be make on consistently striking the ball from the middle of the club, and not just whacking the ball to get the highest club head speed. After all, its about letting the club do the work.

So it's not that it's irrelevant to them, it is still of consequence to them (as whether they like it or not it affects their game) it's more that they just aren't either a) aware of it or b) bothered about it.
Yes it's about letting the club head do the work but I think everyone has a natural swing speed (trying to break the casing is a different matter) if I swing naturally then it's averaging at 103mph, when I tried to break it open it was up at 115+mph which wasn't any use.

Around 93mph when I got fitted for my driver about a year ago.

I was below the swing speed that was recommended for a stiff shaft but all the stats said that was performing the best for me and it felt right.
