Just back from a week staying in a waterside house in Appledore.

Walked along the estuary there, and Instow, Saunton Sands, Croyde, Bude and Boscastle...

Can't beat it. Freaked out my London born and bred brother in law, who thinks British Seasides have cities next to them!!

We got 18 holes at Saunton in one of the days. He really liked that

Clovelly is a wonderful place in winter without the tourists.
In summer I prefer nearby Bucks Mills.

I miss not living by the sea. I love walking along the shore or sitting watching the waves no matter the weather. I find it relaxing and in high seas exhilarating.

Moved to West Wittering two weeks ago…Had a look at Chichester golf club but haven’t played it yet,any recommendations from forum members?

I don't like to go a year without playing North Shore at Skegness - a quirky course. I usually visit the beach when playing hole 5 and/or hole 10.

Hayling Island isn’t too far away - have no experience of Chichester GC
