do you buy music anymore or just download free (legitimately of course)

If you like Skynyrd, check out the Red White & Blues; they were their support band on tour, and one of the few support bands that I have seen that were worth the effort.

Wouldn't know how to download music :( Got given a cheapy MP3 player a few years ago from a company and struggled to get music onto it and when I did the battery burned out in less than a couple of hours so never bothered with it since.

I wait for Birthday & Christmas and other people to buy me Cd's.

Still got loads of Lp's, Singles, 7" & 12" and picture discs. Took some to a boot fair before Christmas and they were selling like hot cakes, really surprised me.

Would love to learn more about downloading music and saving it an Mp3 player or equivalent.

I ripped all my CDs to digital a few years back and converted all my vinyl and tapes too. If I hear a track I like, I go to YouTube and then save the mp3 version from some software I've got. Just putting together my top 500 tracks of all time for a whole collection of CDs

I still buy CDs as I like to own a physical copy. I also find downloads are not sufficiently cheaper than cds bearing in mind that there are no manufacturing or retails costs.

Last 3 CDs I bought were AC/DC Live at River Plate, Tenacious D and Lacuna Coil.

Don't tend to buy much these days but when I do I like to have a CD in my grubby little mitt rather than a load of digits on a computer.........
Last CD was by Foo Fighters - a best of that is in the car to relax me between lessons.....

Apparently, you can get a years subscription to the audio section of Renfrewshire libraries for a very reasonable sum; this is foolhardy in my opinion as I am sure someone may have illegally copied albums that way

I am Spotified up to my gills. Love it. £4.99 for unlimited listening. Smash a playlist together and let it go. I am on Republica's 'Drop Dead Gorgeous' as I write this

Bit of everything really. I download music to make playlists for the Gym or the car. I buy CD's when I'm in town and I keep an eye open for decent vinyl when I'm at a market or a car boot sale. The last few things I bought are some Unkle downloads, some XX CD's and I picked up some old Beach Boys and Leonard Cohen Vinyl at the local methodist church bring and buy sale. All a bit random really.

Oh, and Stevie, the local Library was my favourite source of music when I was a poor student. 50p for 5 CD's for a week. Bargain...

I still buy CDs, usually online and rarely from the likes of HMV. Spotify is great for trying out new stuff. Songs are streamed using the Vorbis codec (which is better than MP3) at 96, 160 or 320 kbps and at 320 the quality is really pretty good.
