We have one par 3 that is 109 yards off the whites. I use to push a tee right in so the ball was flush with the grass but recently stopped and just played it off the ground. Makes no difference I still always clear the green :D

As for glove everything except chipping, bunkers and putting. Find I grip too tightly and get blisters without one.

I 90% of the time use a tee, but if its one of them shots you need to keep lower and have a smooth swing its off the deck.

I always use a glove, mainly because of my incessant bingo hands.

ALWAYS tee
(and i think that begineers shoudl be able to tee up on fiarway in general play )

No glove, especially not when raining

Couple of years back in MAJOR downpour had to even take my rain glove off it was soaked. Therafter played really well in downpour for another 2 hours and never looked back, and saved a load of money too !

Gloves = marketing mans dream

Always tee the ball up irrespective of how short the par 3 is and definitely for all drives with either a driver, 3 or 5 wood. I've always used a glove and I just feel comfortable playing with it. If I know the weather is going to be bad I'll take a load of old practice gloves out (usually synthetic) and a couple of raing gloves and persevere with the normal ones for as long as I can. If its raining from the off I'll stick to the rain glove

Gloves = Golfers who play well and want control of their club and not turn their hands into tough old boots.

Always a tee peg and like a couple of other previous comments I always use a glove for any strokes that require anything approaching a full swing, including bunker shots. Always take the glove off for chipping and putting, unless the rain is of biblical proportions and then the rain gloves stay on all round.

I use of glove for almost everything - not putting or close in chips.

I always tee up but most people at my track don't. The divots taken are incredible - makes it a challenge just placing your tee peg sometimes. I've often thought we should have a local rule demanding the use of tee pegs on the tees!!

I always use a tee unless im hitting off our par 4's or 5's into a strong wind......Then ill just drop the ball on the ground to get a lower flight and keep it under the wind...

I use a glove always except for chipping and putting...

One more thing though alex.
A tee'd ball will travel 8 to 12 yards farther than one that isnt.....Just some food for thought.

Always wear a glove. Put it on before I step on the 1st and it stays on until I walk off the 18th. Only time it ever comes off is when...
A) It's raining and I pop it in my pocket to try to keep it dry between shots.
B) I'm rolling a fag.

Always use a tee peg unless it's a very short par 3 and the tee is nice and fluffy. Then I'll just place a ball down on a nice bit of turf and try to replicate an approach shot.
If it's a long par 3 or the ground is a bit bare I will use a tee.

As for tee peg not always needed and on anything 9 and above i will just nudge a spot of turf to play off seem to get a touch less back spin.

The glove will be on untill i hit the green then i like to get it stright off. A little mind game i know im playing well when i have lots of long walks with the glove in the back right pocket fingers 1st lol.

Althoug did take my pencil bag other day and forgot my glove and played to 8 so maybe its in the head!

I don't use a tee on our par 3's. I feel I get better contact and ball compression off the deck. Even some of the 200+ yard Par's we have into the wind I'll hit my 3-wood off the deck to keep it low.

I've also recently started putting with my glove off, again it just feels better to me.

Doesn't make any difference if the ball is teed up or not (we are only talking mm worth of difference here!)

An iron can (many do) still take divots if the ball is teed up, unless you are a trick shot artist playing off waist high tees!! :D

I always tee up even if it's just very low on a short par 3. It gives you a perfect lie. The way I look at it is that if we were allowed to tee up every shot then we probably would so why not do so when we can? Mentally I don't feel comfortable over a tee shot not teed, I always have a nagging doubt that I'm doing the wrong thing which doesn't help my confidence for the shot.

No glove for me except on wet or really hot days.

Agree completely with Fyldewhite. Why turn your nose up at a perfect lie? Tee every time for me.

Glove worn unless chipping or putting. Needs must I`m afraid. Member of the sweaty hand gang (even the backs)
