Do you add up your score at half way?

Despite all my best efforts not to, I still count as I go along. I would prefer not to as it would take some of the pressure off if I am having a good knock.
We usually have money on best front 9, back 9 and overall so scores are totaled up at halfway to see who has bragging rights for the next few holes.

I always know what I'm scoring. A really bad habit I had was to predict the overall score based on what I had already shot. This is useful advice:

“Points on the Table’ approach of snooker: Snooker players don’t take the points they have so far and multiply that to imagine their final total. Instead, they look at
‘the points still on the table’ and don’t give up whilst there are enough there. So in golf, after the first hole …there are still 51 ‘points on the table’.”

Tend to know my gross score, at least as far into the round as it could be competitive, once it gets to double figures over par I tend to switch off and not keep exact number in my head

i tend to know more or less, but nothing wrong with knowing is there.

mind you if i had 18 shots to play with i wouldn't be worried either;)

On good rounds I know where I am, for bad rounds I don't wanna know!

I have 1 thought only and that's stick to my PSR, good scores are coming more frequently with this process.

Playing in a competitive round I'll know my score at any stage of the round. Don't know how you can take it seriously if you don't know how you are scoring as you go along ;)

I always know my score, even though I try not to, The number of times I have stood on the 16th tee thinking 3 bogies for a cut and then finished with a couple of doubles, is very frustrating.

What difference does it make to my round? If I'm under par, level par or over par, I'm not good enough to suddenly maintain or improve if I find out my score. I take it seriously, but I just prefer to not know, either from playing partners or my brain!

And that's why I love the fact I cannot keep score in my head - no idea what I need on 16, 17 or 18! :)

I can always know how many over par I am all the way round. Will add up my points after 9 just to save time at the end really.
