Plan is to make the top removable for easy access. Probably with little catches on the outside.
The fixings to the wall will be on the inside for neatness, accessed with the shelf removed for full unit removal.
Just need to go buy the catches, make the cut out at the back for cables finally fix it to the wall proper. Should do that over the weekend.
Would like it so that even if the toddler pushes up on the shelf it doesn't move much BUT I can take it off easily when require. Also want minimal fixings visible from the outside, for aesthetic reasons.
