after a 2 week layoff I hit the range tonight hoping my driving had not gone awol... nah it was shocking. My 3 wood and hybrids were sweet so came home and have dumped the driver in my spares/naughty clubs bag. Will stick with 3 wood for par 5's and 4's and short par 4's will be 3 hybrid

a decent tee shot and I know my irons will get me there as I am hitting them (and have been for a few weeks) sweet as.

Bet I 3 putt every hole instead ;)

I find the only way to exercise the driving daemons is to just play through it. The moment you start fearing hitting a particular club you might as well stick it on fleabay.

The worst that can happen is a .1 and you might just find it starts behaving again.

Totally agree. I have had more than my share of horrors this year but I'd never dream of not using a certain club. That just sends out the wrong message. Chances are sub-consciously you were tring to smash it as the others were going so well. You've hit good drivers before and it may be rustiness or over enthusiasm tonight but you'll hit good drives again. I'd keep it in my bag. What happens if it clicks on Sunday. The driver would give you a chance to attack on some holes and now you've lost that advantage by leaving it at home

the only drive I hit well was at Beau on the 1st as 1st group out. maybe I need to recreate that every drive I do :)

my swing is pants and as a fairly new golfer I just think its better to play to my limited strength than to put extra pressure on already

haha, well for the medal its staying at home as its costing me too many shots as I am better than my scores are showing

its a medal and I want a cut, end of!!!!
