Direct golf

Just been on the site and it's a shocker, I no longer get any emails or offers that I used to receive on a regular basis, pretty much all their social media sites have stagnated, I know local staff that have left but I'm yet to drop in the store at Becketts Farm, might have a run out their today unless someone advise me it's a waste of time beforehand!

I went to Becketts Farm on Sunday and it looks to me as if they're getting ready for closure. European Golf (another Sports Direct company) have a range and shop a couple of miles away in Kings Norton selling identical products - the market isn't big enough for both.

On this subject, I was at the driving range at Wast Hills, Kings Norton today and bought a putter cover from the European Golf shop and it was sold to me with a Direct Golf receipt..... (Direct Golf branding on the back of the receipt!!!)

I think losing the original owner was a shame for the industry. Under the original owner they were the main competition to AG as a national multi branch retailer. The industry losing them has kinda handed the maniple to AG.

Their march madness used to be great, it's just a shame that Ashley is using it to pedal the same low quality crap into the market that he uses SD and EG for.

Looks like I may have got it the wrong way around - I drove past Wast Hills today and the European Golf shop had its signage removed and the website diverts to Direct Golf.
