What the hell has happened to this place, was going to go down today just to try a few different clubs and it seems the only thing I can try is 10 different types of Dunlop or slazanger😳😳. Is this franchise being run into the ground. Use to be a great place to go try a few clubs on the range. Shame.

I was told at my local DG that the titleist fitting carts are coming at the end of April....

but yes, it looks like sports direct in there now, which it essentially is.

I've stopped shopping there since reading the article about what happened with the previous owner.
Despise the fact it's turned into sports direct too.
Absolutely basic gear on offer in there and the top brands are overpriced.

Went to my local DG today and it doesn't look great. But I spoke to staff, seems like the behind the scenes stuff is getting finished off and they are expecting more stock over the coming weeks/months. I think the fallout from the administration or whatever caused issues with a few brands/suppliers, but they are expecting to get it sorted soon.

I honestly find it hard to trust them anymore.. Sports direct ruin everything they touch in terms of quality and it will be the same.

My local direct golf is such a shame as it has a quality driving range attached which is run brilliant by cranfield.. yet has a two bob golf shop attached

shame american golf dont swap shops with them.. they would be much better placed at that range

Had a voucher from last year for £50 and didnt know of the sports direct takeover. (I usually go to american golf).
I struggled to find something worth £50, no decent tops etc and everything was large xtra lg ah la sports direct.

Decided on some pro v 1. Just to use the voucher and then found it wasnt been honoured. (from what i read contacting the administators may get 20p from £50)

I noticed on their website tonight its full of dunlop slazenger crap. Seems american golf now has no competition!!

I no longer shop at sports direct, Sorry I meant direct golf. its no longer a serious golf shop as far as I'm concerned

Will never set foot in a DG store again. Worst staff I have ever come across and now they have turned into sports direct there's even less reason to go into there. Shame as I had spent a lot with them in the past but lying to customers in order to try and cover their backs is just plain wrong.

Will not use direct golf ever again.i ordered some adidas power boosts and they where in the middle of a take over ,a week with no sign eventually got through to they're head office two weeks later and they canceled the order with out the decency to even contact me .bye bye direct golf

I had some bad experiences with DG before the takeover, so I can only imagine what it's like now. I think online is the way to go. Shame, cos buying clothes / shoes / anything that you need to try on before buying is almost impossible now.
