Its always a contentious subject slow play and one we always seem to be debating on these forums. People have different comfort zones. My comfort zone is a 3 hour round for a 3-ball , to me that seems reasonable , to others 4 hours is ok. But at the very least you shouldnt fall more than a hole back if you've been in a little trouble and then you should make efforts to make that gap back up asap

Coz I'm quite a slow player, naturally. If I've not got any other appointment I'm quite happy playing a 3 - 4 hour two ball.

Yet, I don't know about you, but I definately didn't feel we were racing around WH.

Or on the other hand, did you feel you were trudging round with a load of slow old farts?

No WH was one of those days that was to be savoured and enjoyed to the fullest. Could not have wished for better company than the 3 of you. I spent a lot of my waiting around time taking in the views and soaking up the thoughts of all the greats that had trodden the same fairways. It didnt feel like we were slow but I knew we werent quick ( we had to wait a few times for the group in front to move off too )

Do you remember that deer bounding past at the speed of light on the 5/6 tee ? Then a couple of seconds later those 2 dogs come hairing after it. A bit surreal

The deer didn't look exactly terrified, did it.

And I think the dogs were confused, to boot. They wouldn't have had a clue what to do with it if they'd caught it.

It was a gorgeous bit of wildlife.

But not as good looking as your 7I on the 17th.
