Browsing through eBay on my lunch and I've come across a Benross HTX driver in 12degrees with a stiff shaft selling for £25!

This isn't a standard spec, as on the Benross site the 12 degree is only available in regular shaft. This is also the case through AG, although they recommended 12 stiff during a fitting with a 10.5 version of the same club. I almost hit the buy button, until I saw the clubhead has a dent in it.

It looks fairly sizeable; my question then is IYO would the dent alter the playing characteristics of the club, and would the club therefore be considered non-conforming for competition play?

I suppose in a worst case, I could buy this and see how it goes then pick up a new HTX and look at swapping the shaft?

For £25 seems worth a punt, the dent wont affect the performance imo and wont make it illegal either, loads of irons gets nicks and dings from play with no consequence, you wont see it at address either. Bargain.
