Curious on how they pair the group of 16.

Also see on the PGA leaderboard website the indication "wins" is either red or blue colored text, but can't figure the distinction.. Is not country or to indicate group win, wondering what the significance is....

Suspect you are over thinking the colours.

First name/top name - Blue
Second name/bottom name - Red

Think it's just a standard knockout model

Winner group 1 vs. Winner group 16
Winner group 2 vs. Winner group 15
Etc.

Winner group 1 plays winner group 16, 2 plays 15 etc
