Absolutely thrilled for Darren - just reward for one of the games nicest guys. Really good to see a number of his fellow pros congratulating him on his way to the scorers hut as well - show's how respected he is in the game. And nice of Leftie (no, not our one!) to put his arms around him at the presentation ceremony and obviously say some nice words.

Mickelson is a genuinely nice guy so I wasn't surprised to see his attitude, glad to see him make it very interesting mid round with a great first nine.

Was it the same leprechaun that knocked his short putt away from the hole that tipped Darren's over the bunker, TWICE ....or was there a whole group of them making it Darren's day?

Absolutely brilliant, a real grinding win when the likes of Garcia and Phil were starting to apply a bit of pressure nevermind Dustin knocking it miles which would have intimidated many others.
That'll help his world rankings plus he has a lot of exemptions for the next few years too.

Really pleased for Darren, thoroughly deserved win. What an afternoon of Golf!

Seeing Darren keep his cool all round was impressive. On the 14th he laid up on his 2nd shot, but Dustin went for glory and put it OOB - experience against youth.
Felt a bit sorry for DJ as he was making it more exciting and all the more difficult for Darren, but his chances disappeared after that.

Trust Darren will enjoy the celebrations tonight!

Fantastic. A great win by one of golf's really good guys and a great character. That is the way to play the game. So easy going and calm yet so focussed and determined at the same time. Same for Mickelson. Great to see him smiling at the end and congratulating Darren so warmly. Must be a lot of fellow feeling with what they've been going through.

watched it with my GF this afternoon and she was v emotional. He almost lost it during the bbc interview when they mentioned his boys, the bloke is top drawer and after seeing his emotions in the 2007 Ryder cup and how well respected he is by his peers and golf fans then I dont think there could be a more popular player to win it
