When this match started, he was heading up the FIFA player of the tournament. He scored tonight, so I'm guessing he hasn't done his chances any harm.

Really?

Do you know which stats ?

It's been Rodrigeuz for me by a mile

I believe it covers everything. Goals, assists, yards run, passes completed, tackles made, interceptions etc;

But hey this FIFA so it could be based upon the colour of a player's eyes, who knows!

He's been the best player called David Luiz.

Seriously though, not even the best player for Brazil. Behind Silva, Neymar and even Hulk. But better than Fred...

Does he have any? The Chelsea fans I know are very happy that he's gone, and put 50m in the pot.

I wouldn't say I'm very happy that he's gone, but that price for someone who is not the greatest defender was too good to refuse. From what I've heard he was an extremely good influence in the dressing room and on the pitch and any Chelsea fan who doesn't recognise and thank him what he did for us on May 19th 2012 needs to take a good look at themselves.

Seriously I like him and think he's a good player, although he's NEVER a defender in a million years. I think he's better in midfield. He has great technique, is able to use BOTH feet and in my view makes him a PROPER footballer. In a midfield role he's pleasing on the eye and reminds me of Glenn Hoddle, he has similar attributes.
As a defender though he's not worth a quid!!!!!

Whilst I don't think he's the greatest cb. I don't think he is as bad as what is being made out. He's a ball player who starts many moves, has lots of interceptions and never gives up. Of course Rodrigues will grab the headlines and rightly so but think Sideshow Bob has played well.

Also, his moment and the end of the game showed real class

Pretty rotten tonight and could have gone for an elbow

I've never rated him defensively. Mind you that was some free kick

Prescient words - though I think that the free kick you refer to is more one of the many free kicks he has allowed the german forwards this evening. Worlds best player? - maybe according to FIFA criteria but we know that their logic is screwed.
