Not sure I'd call it rubbish. An eclectic mix for sure but some interesting signed stuff in there as well

Anyone catch Danny Baker on the Quickly Kevin podcast? That bloke could talk for England!
His radio show was superb for many years. A natural talker and radio guy.

He was the best broadcaster by far in the 90's. He was still good in the 00's but ended up loving the sound of his own voice a little too much and become obsessed with the sausage sandwich game which no one cares about.

He was also the first I knew /met that had 2 video recorders under the TV. Back in the 80s this was a little unusual, but fair play to him for doing his research

. Did he say why? Back then I remember recording being pretty inflexible.

I asked why 2 machines, (thinking dodgy stuff or illegal tape to tape) and he said he recorded loads from the TV that 1 machine wouldnt be enough for. Both him and his wife were truly nice and down to earth.

Were VHS tapes not up to 3 or 4 hours long? If he was recording more than 4 hours tv a day, he must have had some kind of a problem!

I suspect he was recording whole programs looking for subject matter. Nothing wrong with doing thorough research.

Him and danny kelly were a fabulous combo.
I still really enjoy Kelly's rare appearances (he sometimes pops up on talksport). Unlike DB, he's retained a suitable level of self deprecation.
