Hello everyone,

My golf partner and I managed to qualify from our club for the Daily Mail Foursomes. Just wondering if there is anyone else on the forum playing in it or played in it in the past?

If in the past what was it like? Pretty serious or friendly? Did it get more serious as the rounds went up?

Looking forward to it.

Played in it a couple years ago people do take it seriously as we did but its a fine line. In the second round we had to go up the 19th our oppenents were stuck behind a tree after there tee shot but whilst he was trying to work out how to make contact with the ball he was taking practice swings and snapping branches and dislodging lots of leaves so when he went to play his actual shot he had a clear path. my mate picked him up on this and said he had broke the rules and a argument took place we carried on and won it with a par anyway but in the bar after he wouldnt let it lie and asked us what we did for a living i said i work in Security and my mate is a Police men to which he replied Say no more it makes sence now. So we left. We lost the next round but enjoyed that round more than the 2nd

I qualified from our club about 3 years ago - got through to National Quarters.
