Well I played here today and had such a fantastic experience I just had to write it up.

The course (website) is only a 9 holer, par 68 (no par 5's)with a length of around 5000 metres, but dont let this put you off. It is a course that demands accuracy off the tee and the need to think through every shot and if you get on the wrong side of the pin expect at least a three putt . On almost every hole you can see the ocean and it is a true links golf test, the clubhouse is extremely welcoming and with chicken and chips only costing €8 is amazing value.

If you are in the area or in Donegal to play golf you really must play this hidden gem, absolutely fantastic and I would recommend it to golfers of all levels.

Funny enough I've been to the course but never actually played it, I even know a member of the club but just haven't got around to playing it. It's a fair distance away from where I live so that's my excuse but really must give it a go this year.

Thanks Chris. That wee review just took me back down memory lane. I spent all my summers, easters & christmas's in Donegal. I learned this great game on both Cruit & Gweedore. My dad used to buy me a full membership for Gweedore ( think it cost him about £50 for a junior) I played 36 holes almost every day thru summer so money well spent. Cruit is a great wee test when the win picks up. I was back in Donegal for a wedding last weekend, but no time for golf - gutted !!

Cheers
