What a shambles, been listening to the cricket. Only 3 in the circle when broad takes a wicket. Very amateurish all round. Drop catches, throwing 4 overthrows, bowling a mess, especially Anderson. Even had a situation when two players left a catch to each other and in the end let it drop on the floor.

And we think we are good :D :D

Knocked out in the first round with any luck. All that talk after the ashes the we would win the world cup put a damper on the one dayers in Aus.

And to make things worse we let a minnow score a decent total too. all the other major cricket nations delt with their minnow games as they should gubbings

We are crap!!! at limited overs games, we have been terrible.

but can we get 293 to win today? Lets hope so, we have already gave away a win against the netherlands in the 20/20, lets hope we can win today.

293 is very achievable with the quality of batsmen we have.

Just so long as Pieterson doesn't try and become a showboating hero and gets bowled on his first ball.

aztecs 27

I'm quite confident that we will get the 293 required, its the manor in which we played i was trying to get over. Many commentators are saying it was a village team performance, I mean only 3 people inside the circle when the bowler is bowling, amaturish at best.
Apparently Anderson was trying all this fancy bowling stuff (back of the hand etc) when the commentators were saying to just bowl it straight. Boycott said to take nothing away from the Netherlands but the English team were a disgrace.

Would rather they were rubbish in the first game and then improved as the tournament went on! Let's not forget that the main aim for the winter was the Ashes. Fully expect them to achieve 293 without too many dramas.......hold on, this is England we're talking about!!!

management had a change of heart early in the odi series against Aus, Davies looked a bit out of his depth so they reverted back to Prior, a marginal decision at best imo as struggling on bouncy pitches in Australia very different to the slower lower ones in India

A win is a win albeit unconvincingly.

Was a bit touch and go really but they always seemed to have the chase under control. Promising seeing as down under they lacked decent batting performances and we saw one today.

Bowling will get better though imagine we could do with yardy playing, would say for bopara but in a roundabout way he saved the day today!
