Cranked it down today!

910 D3, 9.5 degree, my optimal setting according to trackman is A4, plus 1.5 degrees making my driver 11 degrees.

Anyway, farting about today at Millport I was walking down the 7th fairway when I decided to get the Titleist tool out and cranked her down to A1, 9.5 degrees.


WOW!

This baby is staying 9.5 for the foreseeable future. A thing of beauty was the ball flight, crunched it every time. Let one leak right off of 15 but overall boomed the big dog, best driving display I've put in in a while, long while!
 
Did it look like it sat better to you at address?

Just curious as mine used to be A4 but 'looked' slightly closed to me. On A1 it looks great.
 
Didn't think it looked much different at address however the ball flight was night and day, much more powerful penetrating flight.
 
I tinker with mine sometimes but it nearly always gets left on standard, sometimes I would drop the loft depending on the conditions.

Solid, 4 birdies today could have had a few more with a bit of Donald Duck. Cored and sanded greens usually make it a bit of a lottery. Best I've played for a long time today Dodger.
 
Took my new 910 D2 out for its first round proper today and I'm loving the ball flight so far . 9.5 deg loft on the B2 setting. I will resist playing with the settings for a while to help with consistency.

Good stuff mate ,the scenery sure makes up for the greens tho,great wee course. Had 7 holes when the wee man was getting his lesson today and was the best i've hit the ball in years after the lesson i got the other week,just need to keep the hard work up.
 
Typical Steve, season's over, greens are sanded and we start hitting a wee bit of form!
 
Well Played Mate. Knew that You would find Your Game again. Never actually mucked about changing my settings on mine but might have to look into it.
