Crail Balcomie

Just had a Pleasant knock at Crail this afternoon, Managed to wangle a round on the Balcomie thanks to the nice lad in the pro shop.
Nice course, Stunning setting, Good clubhouse with great views :thup:.

Without a doubt Bri, Probably the most exposed course Ive played and Theres a fair few around Lancs.
Its pretty featureless but unbelievable tricky, especially on and around the greens.

One of the greens in the photos was a double but most of them were pretty big and very undulating.
I Don't know if I'd want to play it every week but as a one off it was a nice course in a great location.
I'd play it again without a doubt.

Played the Balcomie several times... Hope to get back whilst I am still capable of playing more than nine holes... Have always been lucky with the weather and found those in the shop and clubhouse very welcoming...

no you can just blast it with a driver once you make the turn back, i find it a bit featureless.

we have a free jolly there in Sept, and thinking of not bothering .
