Doing some chainsawing for neighbour, pulled my phone out to check time and screen cracked !! Any ideas how much to have new screen fitted if HTC don't replace it ?

Varies but probably in the 50-100 region, sometimes it's cheaper to pay the excess on the home insurance if it's covered, or if you've got mobile insurance through your bank account use that.

I smashed the screen on my HTC in the summer
Took it to a mate who owns a phone shop and got the screen replaced with a new one for £40 :thup:

Cheers Robin, how long did it take to be fixed, wait and sorted or couple of days ?
It went off somewhere for a week, its quite fiddly by all accounts because of all the ribbons behind the glass for the touch screen operations and there a massive amount of small specialist screws. I think there are 2 screens also, a main outer screen and another underneath, I think mine didn't penetrate as I could still slide my finger and operate it and not feel the shattered glass!

Cheers, mine is nowhere nearly as damaged as yours but yet it's virtually unusable, cant open any apps, send texts etc etc , will fear the worst

I got quoted £180 for my galaxy s3 last year, apparently i had smashed the screen, and another sort of sub screen underneath which controlled the touch sensitivity or something

Ouch. Sound like full digitiser replacement is needed which can be expensive depending on model.

Aye getting that feeling, will drop it in on local repair shop but have already priced up a new one if its terminal .
