I have just read a quick of this and does it really tell the whole story. It does mention golf balls and how long Covid can stay on equipment. But seeing as there only me that’s allowed to touch my ball. How relevant is it In relation to golf. When you think about all the other factors two ball, four ball, 2 metre distance on a course.
Having said that, wonder if anything will come of the results of this.

As they say it’s the players not the equipment.
But golf is not the same as other sports.
Golf is a sport where nobody else touches your equipment or ball.
Most sports your opponent plays the same ball .
I can’t see them making a distinction between golf and any other am sport .
It’s just the way it is.

In between lockdowns, I played several two ball games with friends, without touching anything that was not my property ... it’s not difficult. So I hope that they will bear that in mind in due course when considering those sports where relaxation can be allowed ... but I’m not holding my breath.
