Courses between Chichester and Fareham

Have you got a budget in mind? Top end is Hayling which is a good links track. Inland you have Rowlands Castle (I'm not a fan) or Waterlooville (not played it). One that I would consider is Bognor Regis which is always in good condition and a nice mix of testing holes and birdie chances. Cams Hall is a newer style course with a fair amount of water. It's not really a great area for courses I'm afraid.

Recommendations please for a course for a game late afternoon , somewhere between these places please!

Waterlooville is my old club. It’s in great condition in the summer and do some great evening deals I’m sure.

Was never a fan of rowlands. Only a short trip up the a3 you’ve got blackmoor liphook and old thorns

Quite a long way from Chichester still mate if that’s as Far East as he wants to go

Fair enough, just Bognor was put in the mix, and it's only another 10 minutes on from there, but I agree, it is past the original set limit.

Crookhorn on Portsdown Hill just outside Portsmouth is also an option, albeit hilly but with spectacular views. £13 for a round after 2pm.

I stay in Southampton Tues and Weds (and sometimes go to another site in nr Fareham) - an old cricket mate of mine is in Chi next week and looking to set up a game on Wednesday when I get out of the offiice (early hopefully)

So looking for somewhere not to far from me, so I can work later without travelling too far, that also isnt meaning he goes too far either....

Played Waterloovile last night... £25 after 4pm. What a smashing course it is. Quirky in some respects, but very enjoyable. Very tight front 9, longer and a bit wider on the back... clearly suffered a bit from the dry summer, but in otherwise excellent nick, greens had had some maintenance, but still played really well. Great fun!

Good recommendation thanks!

Played there earlier this week. Some of the greens a little patchy but holding up pretty well. As you say, some cracking views, particularly on the 2nd tee.

Tis a course that always seems to catch me out though! A couple of horror shows on the 6th and 7th.

Glad you enjoyed it a nice little course
