Course suggestions near Bude

Going on holiday to a place with a 6 hole golf course on site soon near Bude, Cornwall. But I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for any decent courses near there (as in within an hours drive) worth playing. Looking to play one day mid week, no where too expensive.

I played it a few years back. Quirky old fashioned course in good nick. A few blind shots but good fun.

Best in area: Trevose, Royal North Devon, St Enodoc

Cheaper deals: Launceston, Oakhampton. Holsworthy has a course but haven't played

Cheers, I initially misread walkers as soemthing else and thought, that's a bit harsh. Unless walkers is an euphemism for something else. But then again I suspect in that case you would have said merchant bankers.

I like Bude. Nice friendly club to visitors. Holsworthy was a bit bland when I played but it was lashing down so it might have prejudiced my opinion but I can't remember much about it

You can add Lanhydrock, Perranporth and St mellion to your list, all within an hour or so of Bude. Played Bude a few times, it's a good fun 'holiday' course, definitely worth playing if you are in the area.

Or if you are feeling brave and own a crash helmet, West Cornwall isn't too far away either.
