Anyone any recommendations for a golf break to a links course with a hotel attached? Looking at march time

Thanks in advance

If your from Sheffield 😁Depends on how far you wanna go. 3/4 HR away is forest pines. Or Brabazon a bit further 👍

It all depends on how far you want to travel and how much you want to spend

Princes
Turnberry

But there also Links course with dormy houses like burnhsm and Berrow

Is it important that you are actually directly onsite? Pretty much all the good links have hotels very close by and if you don't mind a very short drive you can take your pick. Or if you do want to be onsite, what sort of budget are you thinking per person?

If you want to be on-site I can strongly recommend Fairway Cottage which is fifty yards down the 1st hole at Trevose.

Oh ah, but why would you want a links with a hotel attached? Anyway. Get on a plane and go to Ballina/knockIreland and play Enniscrone and Carne. Bladdered it down for three days whilst I was there. Didnt play my best golf. But both courses were stunning and I loved it.

PS, am sure there's a hotel at Enniscrone anyway.

Scotland. Lots of places there that'll suffice. St Andrews, Carnoustie. Lots of places along the East Lothian coast (granted the hotels aren't attached. Or over to Ayr

It's a real trek for you, but Aberdovey in terms of value for money is excellent and it has a dormy house right next to the 18th green...

You don't have to go very far. Seacroft in Skegness is an excellent links course. There are a couple of hotels nearby including one which is in walking distance, although it's a but rough and ready, firmly rooted in the 1950s. You could also play the quirky North Shore which is a course everyone should have at least one go at and Sandilands is OK for the price.

By living in Sheffield (?) and by not saying how far one wants to travel, it doesn't help narrow things down any! But from that location, I'd say look at the English "golf coast", Ayrshire, or East Lothian and you can play top quality links golf for the rest of your life with no danger of getting bored.

We don't really mind how far we travel to be honest which is why I didn't state a distance 🙈 Thanks for replies though. I'll have a look at a few of these

East Lothian-you can probably find about a dozen links all within half a hour of each other including what is the oldest golf course in the world. lots of hotels in the area but for one on site ty Archerfield

Portmarnock hotel links superb hotel and golf course played it a few weeks ago in fantastic condition believe you can get a deal through golf breaks
