Not if you start at x.5 to x.7 where x is any number

The 7 in a row gets you a review is does not necessarily get you an increase. There is a flow chart to follow and basically if you have buffered during the current handicap year or played to or under handicap in the preceding 12 months then there is no increase given.

I came down from 21 to 8 last year, so maybe that is why I've been protected from a 1.0 increase?

I haven't beaten equalled or beaten my handicap in any round since June last year and that's including all roll ups too. To answer the question the most 0.1's I've had in a row is six but followed that up with a buffer and then another really poor run. I'm hoping things are beginning to change with some decent 9 hole performances recently but still to put a decent 18 holes together.

Over the last 2 years:
My worst run is 3x0.1
My best run is 5xBuffer or Better

There is almost certainly a worse run out there but I can only access rounds since we moved to IG.
