Evening everyone.

under old congu, if you submitted a 9 hole card and then an 18 hole card for handicapping purposes. The 9 hole card would combine with the front 9 of the 18 hole card and the back 9 would wait for the next 9 to come along as it worked on 18s only. Is this still the case under the WHS system?

thanks

That wasn't the CONGU system in 2019
"A ‘neutral’ 18 points for the nine holes not played is added to the nine-hole Stableford score to determine whether players have played within, or better than, their Buffer Zones. For handicap purposes, when a player fails to return a score within their Buffer Zone the points accumulated over the nine holes played is doubled. This
provides a more realistic indication of ability for handicap review than the former practice of adding 18 points to the outside of Buffer Zone scores."

G5.5 Treatment of 9-Hole Scores in the Scoring Record
In GB&I, once a player has been awarded a Handicap Index, the combining of two 9-hole scores into a single 18-hole score is not applicable; each 9-hole score is scaled up to an 18-hole equivalent gross differential and included as an independent score in the player’s scoring record.
