Bought my Ipod nano today. Loaded Itunes but can't for the life of me work out how to get a video already on my pc into the I tunes library so I can download it onto the Ipod. I know its bound to be rudimentary but I can't get it to work. I can get it to download music from a CD I load so my CD collection is slowly moving across (didn't realise some of the stuff I had until I went through the racks)

Try this....Once you're in "Movies" in your iTunes library, click "File" and then "Import."

iPod can only play mp4 videos. If your videos are the right formats, you can transfer them to your ipod directly with iTunes. If your videos are not the right formats, you need to convert them to ipod mp4 formats with a converter:

Been having the same problem with the iPod classic I've just got, didn't realise it needed to be mp4.

And Homer, same as you, found some old music I haven't listened to in years!!!

Homer, another really good, and easy to use, converter is handbrake.

http://handbrake.fr/

Basically open the source file, select the device you want to convert for on the right hand side then start the conversion. It will create a new file for you.

Once it's done you can just drag and drop the converted file onto the iTunes and then once in iTunes you can sync it to your iPod same way as you do your music.
