If you know the problem thats half the battle.
Going back on the inside makes staying on plane at the top very hard. You need to get the club head outside your hands on the way back, it will help massively!

That video describes very well how it should feel to someone that is not use to taking the club away outside.

Im doing over the top drills that my pro showed me. Basically I have to feel like im dropping the club head behind me before starting down swing. Then I put a ball at 1 oclock of targetand 2ft in front and feel like im trying to hit it after the ball I want to hit

Teaching someone to swing OUT isn't the cure for OTT, on the contrary they probably ALREADY swing the club too far to the inside on the backswing. It's adding a problem to a problem.

People who swing over the top generally focus on (are obsessed with) what they are doing with the clubhead rather than what they are doing with the grip end of the club and their arms.

A video of your swing is probably the best thing you can get as each swing is kinda unique, HOWEVER understanding what causes people to swing over the top is a pretty important thing to learn.
