Played High Elms Golf Club last night, which is a pretty tough muni. Round was ruined by 2 not complete novices, now I'm not the type to moan about beginners, we've all been there & all still have bad days, but I have never seen anything like this. They were eyeing up every putt like a tour pro, spending way to long looking for balls, discussing scorecard in middle of fairway and just seemed clueless to any kind of etiquette towards other golfers on the course. By the 16 th tee there wasnt anyone infront of them on the course. I'm no shrinking violet but can't be bothered to get involved IBM arguments on a golf course. Surely it's up to management of theese courses to come out & keep check on things like
this.
PS realy must join a club.

join a club, munis are great to start but they are full of complete beginners but where else can they start, I played a course recently that had 2 marshals ensuring no slow play and if there was they told the slow players to let people through, good idea but if theres 4x4 balls in front and your a 2 ball your gubbed no matter where you play.
I dont mind people playing as slow as they want but FFS let people through, its manners, etiquette and just plain common sense.

Guess what...?

Join a club and it still happens. Most clubs have to take visitors so these Jokers will still make an appearence..
