Clubs Changing fees mid-season...

Just about to go to the meeting about the fees, nervous and I don't know why, feel as though I am going to get in trouble!! Ill let you all know how I get on.

Similar thing happened some years back at ECCLESTON PARK when it first opened it had a £500 joining fee, then after a couple of years it dropped to £250 then no joining fee,the ones that paid a fee got nothing in recompense,as crown golf tailor made each new members contracts in effect everyone at the club had a different contract this got round any legal action from people wishing to get e refund.

Good luck, just don't go in all guns blazing , keep calm, cool and collective. These guys tend to just say sorry "thats the rules tough luck, bring it up at the next AGM " .

Would they actually have the authority to make individual membership finance arrangements? Be a little unusual.

That's pretty much what was said, if they offered refunds it would cost somewhere in the region of £8500, I did explain however that I wasn't looking for a full refund, but could I switch over mid season, to which I was told this was not allowed. I spoke to the VC afterwards and he apologised as his personal opinion was that he agreed with me, but hey ho! It's nearly sunny in Bellshill, there's golf to be played and some juniors to be rounded up so we don't have only 3 kids down to play in medals!!
