Yeah the course is very tight and it’s helped me learn to keep the ball straight from the tee and be happy loosing a touch of distance - it’s that tight in places it makes the Duchess look wide open , it’s rhe perfect course for someone who prefers to use course management as opposed to just bombing it - and you can’t just bomb it.

That’s what I thought- wouldn’t suit me !

The subtitles are poor I mean what is a bonker and there are a few other daft mistakes on it, course looks okay.

Just listened from the glass of wine remark, absolutely stinks of elitism and snobbery, may be it's my working class socialist back ground but watching that promo would steer me away from the place, though the course looks great.

Was st work earlier so didn’t have chance to listen to it.

I always wondered what happened to Richard Clayderman 🤔

Yeah the voice ‘talent’ and script could do with a revisit so it’s less Camberwick green (for those too young, watch this from 0;45 to 1;15)

The drone footage itself is fine (I’d have preferred it to descend more around the greens especially if talking about slopes etc) and the other things have already been mentioned

A fair attempt but might as well go the whole way and get something that ticks all boxes

Hmmm ... depends whether it's supposed to sell the club or show the course.

The video starts off claiming that it's a "Traditional golf club with a progressive attitude." But there is nothing at all to substantiate this. Starting with the dullest building in christendom certainly doesn't help. Even if the backstory is interesting, at best it's a piece of supporting information.

If it's a club promo, why isn't it showing the club – the people who make it up and the things that make it special?

The course itself is very nice (as much of it as we see), especially the 11th which I'd love to lose a few balls on. But it isn't, or shouldn't be, the whole story.

Well most have echoed my thoughts

I first thought it was just a preview and that they were going to do every hole - nope that’s the promotional video that is going on the website

My thoughts- is boring as hell , the guys voice makes you want to switch off - it doesn’t scream “come and play here” - the holes they picked are.nice but then why add the yardage’s onto them and why labour over them and then why go on about a balcony ?!?

For me it’s a video that makes people switch off - did say it was horrific to our pro but it was sort of dismissed

It's not the worst vid in the world, but I agree with many of the comments here. I actually thought the previous one that was made ad-hoc was a better vid to be honest. Might be worth collating some of the responses here puting them down into an email to Maurice/ Keith/ Jeremy etc. :)

Like the drone footage, but the guy and music would make you fall asleep.

It's nice footage but I think it's a bit slow going over each hole. The one for our course as an overview (already put on here) is pretty good and our hole by hole flyover is nice, simple, fast and from a higher level.

How long ago was your club one done? - flying seems a bit jerky by modern youtube etc standards

Gorgeous looking course. I didn't look at all of the holes but it tempted me enough to want to play there. It does its job.

It was done a year ago, May 2017 just before the rains came down for the summer. Mind you, it looks like that again now, in fact better.
When you say jerkiness, I think you mean where he moves the camera mid-flight. To be honest, I don't think it looks jerky.
The guy who did it is a real drone enthusiast so it's quite an expensive piece of kit he has, which gives good quality videos.

Yes that's what I mean - it's almost very good and I don't doubt the quality of the kit he is using but abilities of people who fly drones has moved on even in the last year - it would also be better if he flew down the fairway - I looked at one of the holes (6 I think) and the flight goes over the trees on the left of the fairway - only revealing that green very late on in the clip.

I understand what you are saying but this is a club member who gave up two days of his time (Day 1 to practice, Day 2 to film) to provide this for us. Plus editing, uploading and putting onto Youtube and our website. Whilst there may be some places where we could get even better videos, it still gives a damned good feel for the course.
Ideally it would be nice to do it again this year, when the weather is even better and the course is looking even better but I'm happy with the overall result. I think you're looking at it with an enthusiasts/professionals eye and not everyone will be doing that.
I was just pleased he got one of the last good days before the summer washout that hit us all.
