club chuckers

Mate of mine hit me on the ankle with a low chuck.
This did not go down well and very heated argument followed.
Shutters were well and truly down and I just would not accept his apology.
This was years ago on holiday in USA so could have ruined my holiday.
I have no time for people like that and will not play with him anymore.
Should be a DQ in a comp and repeat offence asked to leave the club.

Used to play with an American guy who was a reasonable player years ago, after a 13 on a par 4 he threw his putter at his buggy breaking the perspex screen and his putter!

Mate of mine used to throw a strop if ever he hit a poor shot (5 h/c)

He turned up one day with a dozen new TM balls. He hit a couple of poor shots and was moaning that the balls were crap and then he pulled a ball into a bunker - he was livid! He opened his bag, pulled out out all the new balls and lobbed them over the oob fence!!

I was brassed off as I'd have been delighted if he had just given them to me!

I'm sayin nuffin, but waiting for a certain Pp and Bro to fess up and plead for forum forgiveness for his recent tantrum, where, 8 iron became a felling axe 😎🤓🙃

As Canary kid says

The assumption is that they were chucked in.

A players takes two clubs with him when looking for the ball, puts one down while playing with the other and forgets to take them both back.

Been there, done that and got the tee shirt.

Taken two clubs into a bush and couldn't decide what to hit.... lol  Chainsaw maybe:rofl:
not a chance, no one i know would ever try to play out of the middle of a dense gorse bush, you could barley stand up and move let along swing a club. the 7 iron was so far in all you could have done would have been hit a ball further in. The PW was sitting up in the bush in the branches.

Now, this wouldnt be the same brother who spends half his life on the 'daily irritations thread' berating others for their angry driving etc etc??

So what you saying Phil. Surely bro hasn't got anger management issues? Are you just wearing him down on the course these days

No issues - get angry, let it go, move on👍

They're all idiots Grandad

I'm sayin nuffin :)

That'll make a change

Should be punished.

I must admit to doing it once or twice and on both occasions I've been very embarrassed and I've not done it since.

It really doesn't achieve nothing apart making yourself look a right two hat.

I chucked one recently... :o But I tend to just do a low throw to just behind me.., more like an angry drop! ;)

Apologised to PPs.... who hadn't even noticed!

Don't really like to play with club chuckers tbh, as I fight that feeling everytime I play and when someone is like that, not sure whether to laugh or keep quiet and not say anything for the rest of the hole, so its awkward.

Chris's comment, the 2nd was a provisional:rofl:

A guy I play with told me a story of the time he chucked his whole bag into a lake at a course.

Walked back to his car only to realise his car keys were in his bag.

Walks back to the lake, climbs in and takes it all home with him...

Never chucked a club since
