I'm after a 7 wood. As a female player I struggle to find reviews about ladies clubs. I'm tall and have a Ping G410 SFT 5 wood which I love to play from the tee. I'm a 22 hcp and need something that goes a bit further from the fairway (which I'm rarely playing from, but I have hope!). Can anyone recommend anything? Please don't tell me to go for a fitting as I've been for several and they hand me whatever ladies club they have in stock and say that's fine!! ? So I'd be happy to have a go and if I like it I will buy from the shelf (if that's the right term??). Thanks in advance. ?

Thank you so should I just look at reviews for mens clubs? I got fitted into a senior shaft mens 5 wood and I love it but the mens 5 wood is the same loft as a woman's 3 wood so I was thinking a mens 7 wood might be a good idea from the grass as a distance club. I'm always after the next fix to try to get my hcp down! ? ???

Unless the clubs are specifically for Women, like Ping GLE or Callaway Reva, the heads are usually the same as those used in Men's clubs.
If you like the 410 5 wood then you could do a lot worse than find a 7 wood with the same shaft..
The SFT models are 2° weaker than the Plus so the 7 wood will be 22.5°.

Pings own brand graphite shafts in men's generally tend to play on the soft side of regular so a men's regular may work well for you.

My daughter plays so called mens clubs and hits them lovely. Her clubs are off the shelf (irons only) her 7 wood is a Benross tri mass which is quite old now but a fairway finder. I reckon you can pick one up quite cheap. New is not always the best

My most significant club to date, for hitting from the semi is the Callaway Heaven wood. With its 'launch' factor can go as far as a 3 wood. Doesn't always happen but then I can say that about many of my clubs. However, is very memorable when it does!!

I have got quite a few ex demo as I'm not too bothered about the clubs being brand new. I've heard of the Ben Ross so I might see if I can find one to try. Thanks ?
