Hotel courses never close, kerchinggggg. Dreadful customer service though. They'd make more friends if they closed and refunded your money. The shame is that the Huntsman is a really nice course but I suspect you won't think that right now.

The drainage isn't the best at Close House either. Played it last year and they had a hole closed and it wasn't even that wet. I expected a lot more considering how much they've spent on it and how highly it rates itself.

I understand the hotel/spa/golf course model and their "we never close" policy.
The Hunting is indeed a lovely course and the Priestman serves up a challenge too, perhaps more so than its bigger brother. Must have played each course between 30-40 times over the past 15 years

Nice thought. Don't know anyone there though. Definitely one for next year now as it is well known for being soggy.
