Well there are some of you lucky folk that can still get out on the golf course. For me it's been too long since my last round. That said up until today I've been able to handle it. However, today I had a lesson on pitching with a new teaching pro, who I am hoping is going to revolutionise my short game. The lesson went really well and I'm feeling really positive about the upcoming season. I've also been practising my putting A LOT and have made a tweak there that seems to be working really well. So all I want to do is get out on the golf course and play 18 holes, in fact I'd be happy with nine...

...it's not snowed here for a week but the freezing temperatures have meant the course is still covered in six inches and it doesn't look likely to be playable next weekend. Sad times :(

Harsh times Tiger.
We're just about coming out of it.
Allegedly warmer from tomorrow and not much snow coverage so hopeful for a game Monday...

Chin up Buddy!

Summer's coming.

Unlucky. We have had no snow or frost here at all (that I can remember anyway) but as I was moving house this weekend and me wee lass is in hospital on tuesday I will probably not get near a course until next Sunday a best :(

Hope everything goes well at the hospital Chris.

Tiger, just think of the fantastic content you'll be able to put in the magazine with all the spare time you've had. I bet that it'll be fantastic....

Hope it all goes well Chris that's got to be tough at 3 poor bairn. :(

bluewolf thanks for cranking up the pressure, already sweating the response to the May issue!!! :mmm:

The only good news is that it's keeping me from breaking 90 before the 'Play Your Best' competition closes

Tiger, the weather around our parts is due to get a lot better this week. Apparently the temp may even hit double figures mid week. Good chance the snow will be gone by next weekend(I hope)

I live in hope, but due to the amount of snow and the forecast rain I have a feeling it may get a little waterlogged. That said I'd take temp greens over no golf quite happily right now!

I was chatting to our assistant pro on Friday, and he was saying the course will be closed long after the snow has gone, due to water logging. Hopefully it will be up and running for next Saturday, but I am giving Sundays comp a miss.

Problem we are seeing is its thawing enough for the greens, and any melting is just getting frozen solid again overnight.

Haven't played for 2 weekends now :(

I have been to the range yesterday and today.

Dreading the big thaw as my course is clay based, so im expecting it to be very wet for a while

I am guessing our course will be open by about Wednesday but I reckon it'll be a quagmire. Mind you the way I hit it on the range today I'm kinda praying for more snow to shut it before the comp next weekend
