Hi all

Cleveland classic XL custom for sale. Absolutely cracking driver with a tour shaft. Includes Wrench

£95 including p&p

Why am i selling it? i hear you ask.....

Well i have just bought the same driver with the stiffer shaft as the reg was a little soft for my liking (107mph swing speed)

Head 8/10
shaft 9/10
Grip 10/10 - Brand new'ish (3 round used) Golf pride new decade

Head-cover has a very small slit in it and the inside has a small hole in the lining. It still looks nice and shiny on the outside mind you. I have included pictures.

Indeed, a really good club.

Was there a reason you didn't simply buy a replacement shaft? I believe the Customs are swappable. Ease of purchase/sale?

I simply could not find one for sale in the UK with the sleeve attached.

I even went to the trouble of ringing Cleveland UK (Srixon) and was told that they would not offer me a new adapter as policy dictated they could not as they wanted to monitor what shafts players used????? (yes, i was not overly impressed).

Saw a few for sale on Ebay.usa but by the time you factor in postage and import taxes i was looking at the best part of £150.

see my woes here

In the end i found a second hand Classic with the JDL shaft and a 9 deg head for a very good price.

Best move i ever made as i wanted a lower flight.

Even with the reg the thing is a real bomber. Very low spinning.

Edit - just found this as well

Ah yes. I remember this now! Indeed, unimpressive of Srixon UK!

I found out recently that it's possible to get sleeves at shop.clevelandgolf.com ($20/sleeve). And you can get the weights too! Seems Cleveland gear isn't popular enough to make copying worthwhile! Only problem is that they only ship to US, so you need to get it done there and on-shipped.

Good to see you've found a solution though.
