I've a post on here about reshafting my MP 69's, but seems best way is to sell them first, that means I'll be without irons for awhile so will get the Mizuno T Zoid Pro's out the garage. As they are pretty old forged irons I'd like to 'shine' them up best I can, any proven or secret tips apart from soap and water?

WD40 or AC90 and a nylon bristle brush

Cheers Gareth, never thought of WD40, got tons of it as well, think it will bring the forged shine back or is that a machine job only?

Depends on the level or tarnish Darth.

When I brought my MP32's the heads were in good condition but the finish was quite badly tarnished. AC90 brought them up a treat without need for further measures.

I've heard soaking them in Coke (As has been mentioned) gets some good results.

I've cleaned lots of old metal things with a) soaking in denture tablet mix b) a little wire wool and c) some quality metal polish.

Works on Ping putters, might do the trick?

cheers fellas, like the coke idea (also got lots of that too burp!) then WD40 and a light scourer.

Soap and water best for the grips I assume.

@Craw, dont have a shotgun but cant see how that will improve a soft metal (insert tongue smiley as all mine have died)

just done the coke, WD40 then some brasso.................they look lovely now, nothing like when they were new but they shine....SHINE I TELL YA!
Think I'll play with them this medal.........

thanks for the help fellas (thumbs up smiley)
