City vs United

I like the way both teams play. City remind me a bit of the old Keegan Newcastle and the we'll score one more than you mentality and of course we know what happened at the end of that season. United are still a good side but there are some players who are still inexperienced (Smalling etc) and so City have a good shout. I'm going for 1-1 with a sending off

As a Liverpool Supporter a boring 0 - 0 draw for me and Rooney to have a shocker. How much media hype is there about him ! He is just about good enough to carry Messi's kitbag though.

I'm hoping Utd win. Not that I don't like City but out of those 2 I'll go Utd. Something like 3-2 or 4-3 with a winner akin to Rooney's strike last season will do nicely.

Being one of the golden oldies who remembers the likes of LEE,BELL SUMMERBEE etc,its fantastic to see the
club come out of cold, and yes,I do want them to win.Joe Mercer will have his fingers crossed..

As you can see i dont support either but if i had to choose i would go UTD, city are carrying on like the pervibal spoiled rich kids at the min , that carry on with tevez & dzeko & the investigations , he wont play for me again , well he might , to stuff about been a nice man etc , mancini a bit of a bully.. as a neutral i hope the both go for it & on a selfish side utd have 15 suspensions for next weekend ha

Is that true that at lest one of the Liverpool squad. Is in the olympic diving team, or he would have been if he did not cheat????

I am a united fan and would love to see another arsenal result how ever i know this wont happen would be good to put them down a peg or 2 though. I would take any kind of win whether it be a boring 1-0 95th minute goal or a nail biter 4-3.

What you have to remember with Sir Alex is that he has had control of every player in and out of Old trafford for the last 20 years so he has built his squad and will know all the players coming through. Other managers are just not given the time he has had so will inherit many other managers squads. I think he has a brilliant eye for young talent and who will develop into good players and he can nurture them well. Tactics wise I am not fully convinced as there has been times when we play weaken sides and get punished for it Basel for example this season. I am glad he is at United though and it will be a big loss when he leaves as I dont know if others will be given the time.

manchester united have set up a helpline for distraught fans if you are traumatised by todays resut please call 0161 616161

Not the result I would have wanted, but very funny. Worst premiership loss for united. Made me laugh any way.

Still laughing about the qpr result too. Fantastic.

few unusual results this weekend that wasnt expected. budgies getting a draw at liverpool and 6-1 today and the chelsea result. Seemed such a strange team we put out today no park for a big game? rooney playing more midfield all game than upfront and welbeck not being good enough on his own. hernandez on the bench and jones on the bench and we play evans instead, vidic good enough to play for serbia but not good enough for us? something dodgy there. once we went down to 10 man city played really well didnt sit back and defend they went for the kill and they certainly got it.

would have played park instead of nani, also for me jonny evans just isn't good enough to be starting ahead of vidic and jones, in fact most of the time i wouldn't have him on my subs bench! should have started hernandez, i know welbeck has done welll this season but with hernandez you always feel he's going to give you a chance, we deserved to lose today, simple as, but our team selection was strange and we really do need some consistency, this also shows our need for a creative midfielder option as anderson and fletcher were so poor in the middle of the park that was where the game was lost for me we gave away far too much possession... still, we'll be back

What a lovely day it was. Round at my lads, with him and my football daft grandson, both Liverpool supporters, my other lad a Manure supporter and me and ex City devotee. Piza, pies, beer and footie on a 42" TV. Brilliant !!!
